With a background in traditional media such as pen and ink, gouache and oil painting, I studied Fine Arts-Illustration at Bucks College outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
While in school, I partnered with a local skateboard shop and was commissioned custom painted skateboard decks, screen-printed tshirts and designed seasonal window displays incorporating my original painted designs on their glass shop front.
My career in freelance illustration evolved into a custom portraits business, which lead to contracts with larger companies creating spot illustrations for digital and print media. This encouraged my transition to digital illustration with the use of and iPad and Procreate.
The use of digital mediums gave me the same hand-feel of drawing and painting, but with the added benefit of allowing me to easily edit my illustrations to suit clients‘ needs and offer alternative design options for multiple projects.
Today, my focus has become exploring illustrations that could easily translate into tattooed art.
